Housed in the "Way Side" villa built in 1925 by the architect Henri Léon BLOCH, the museum exhibits a very beautiful collection dating from the end of the XIXth century to the present day. From 1880 to 1914, a cosmopolitan colony of some 200 painters settled in the region of Etaples. Inspired by the landscapes and light of the Opal Coast they come from England, the United States, but also from Norway or Australia. An amazing marine of Sarah Bernhardt joins the neoimpressionist works of Henri Le Sidaner, the religious scenes of Iso Rae and the Beach of Berck of Eugène Boudin.

A private collection

This private collection offers a retrospective of the major currents of modern art: geometric abstraction, lyrical abstraction or art brut ...
A collection of the most representative of modern and contemporary art since the early 1950s.

The Atelier de la Monnaie and the Painters of the North

Olivier, Frezin and Vallois were the founders of the Atelier de la Monnaie in Lille in the aftermath of the Second World War.
They attracted artists from France and Northern Europe such as Roulland, Van Hecke, Mannessier, Kijno ... All these artists are witnesses to the vitality of regional contemporary art.

Edouard Champion: A signed collection

This Parisian art publisher, an erudite writer, bequeathed to the museum a collection of a few hundred photographs, made between 1880 and 1938. Their common point is that they are dedicated by their subject, presidents, writers, artists, sportsmen. All these celebrities immortalize the splendor of the crazy year of the seaside resort.

The Museum and Children

The wealth of the Le Touquet museum's collections makes it a particularly popular educational tool for children and teachers.
Playful and rewarding, the pedagogical activity revolves around thematic visits followed by practical workshops.
